Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin - International Dispute Resolution

ADR-Methods

The module ADR Methods consists of the law and practise of (international) alternative dispute resolution (ADR). The course focuses on both the legal framework and the practical skills for negotiators and mediators. The module consists of two units.

The first unit deals with mediation and negotiation management. Mediation is taught through lectures and hands-on training sessions, which are accompanied by practical exercises to learn the necessary techniques. The adjudication unit forms the second component of the third module. The module allows insights into the techniques and maxims of the growing world of dispute adjudication boards and similar institutions.

The module is completed with a written examination.
